Vanessa gained a degree in industrial design at Rome's ISIA institute in 1999. Her professional debut was a collaboration with Mares on the design of new accessories for the world of diving. Following this she began to take an interest in communication design, working at studios specialising in the definition of new strategies for media communication in diverse product fields. Thanks to her training as an industrial designer and her experience in communication, Vanessa's approach to design developed into a comprehensive vision which can identify genuine product development strategies, encompassing the conception phase, through development to culminate in a communication geared to strengthening product value and brand awareness. In 2009 she founded CoolGray, a studio with a mission to support firms in product innovation by developing strategic projects capable of holding their own in even the most competitive environments. Coolgray has worked - and continues to work - with public institutions and major firms in several sectors: Ascoli Piceno Province - Rimini Province - Lighthouse SRL (Bologna) - Aquafan, Oltremare, Italia in Mianiatura, Cattolica Aquarium, Livorno Aquarium - Las Mobili - TEEM (Milan) - Life Pro Srl.

Graduated in Industrial Design from ISIA in Rome and fine Art from the Bari School of Art, Italy.
He has worked with some of Europe’s best design firm as a product designer, graphic designer and interior designer.Design Director of Delta Salotti until 2005 and for the previous 10 years worked as a collaborative designer for a range of design savvy companies including Mares, Divani & Cristalli, Studio Immagine, Legno Arredo & Philips.In 2005 moved to Sydney to join KWA DESIGN GROUP as Design Director following on from his notable success as one of Italy’s leading young designers. Freelance designer from 2011 collaborate with some of the most important scuba diving company in the world such as AQUALUNG, OCEANIC, AERIS. He has been recognised for his outstanding ability to interpret form and function through ingenious design and manufacture flair, receiving multiple industry awards. He has been a design finalist in major European design competitions including:1996 Per Filo Per Segno (Cordless phone)1997 TVS (Crepe Maker)1998 Handitec (Utensils for the disabled)1999 Philips (Camera).

She starts her professional knowledge at the ISIA in Rome, where in the 1999 she graduated in Idustrial Design.
In 2010 she founded a workshop-studio called MAD, where she found the chance of developing new conceptions of large consumer’s products.
She collaborated with Company around the world such as BMW Motorrad, Datalogic ADC, ADIVA Japan, Arena International and others, developing design products in several market fields.
Among her most important projects Smart Cap, a new concept of swimming bonnet that can be easily and quickly worn by long haired people .This product achieves the Red Hot Designers Award for 2012 prestigious acknowledgement and the nomination for the assignation of Compasso d’ Oro by ADI (Italian association of design).

She’s been teaching product design since 2009 at the Università Europea del Design, in Italy.
